Brownfield applications are accepted on a rolling basis until HLB’s EPA grant funding is expended. After submitting the below application, an HLB representative will contact you via email to discuss the project details and assess eligibility for funding. Please allow up to three weeks for a response. Project applications will be scored based on a predetermined scoring rubric that aligns with the program’s mission and community vision. Information shared through the application form and during the consultation process will be taken into consideration for making a final decision by HLB to fund the project. Projects that are selected by HLB for funding must complete a Property Eligibility Determination form for final approval by the EPA. EPA brownfields eligibility criteria can be reviewed here.
